As they are relatively heavy, we do not recommend you attempt back-pack with any of these ! Stored properly any of these tents will give you many many years of great service and are fantastic fun too. British Standards for Tents In 2012 BSI published a new standard BS EN ISO 5912 to which tents can be tested and which are a very useful guide for buyers to determine the suitability of a tent for a specific purpose. Level 1: Fair weather use - suitable for short duration (1-2 day) summer use. Level 2: Moderate weather use - suitable for all wet and windy conditions but not intended for extreme or mountain conditions. Level 3: All weather use - suitable for mountaineering, expeditions and extended residential use. Tents we sell will meet the requirements of level 2 and in many cases level 3 however due to manufacturing dates and practices they may not be specifically marked as such. The Indus 6 is a family sized dome tent that pitches flysheet first making it easy to assemble. The Indus 6 has large PVC windows with covers so that you can watch the world go by and allow light in but maintain your privacy - some offer improved ventilation as well. There are also ventilation panels over the bedrooms which help to reduce the build up of condensation. Wynnster Titan 6 Price:  £229.79 / EUR 278.04 Including VAT price match The Wynnster Titan 6 is a great family tent. It pitches inner tent first and should take two people 50mins to pitch. This tent also has the benefit of 2 Power ports - These are conveniently located zipped openings in conjunction with lantern loops and velcro cable ties that allow a mains electricity hook up supply into the tent for the operation of electrical appliances and lighting. All fabrics used in for the flysheet, sleeping compartments and groundsheets have been given a Fire Retardant treatment, which in the event of an emergency will allow significantly more time to escape. Each Wynnster tent is supplied with a repair kit and they include useful items to carry out emergency repairs. The taped seams are heat sealed with a polyurethane tape to ensure complete waterproof protection. The poles benefit from a colour coding system. This incorporates colour-coded poles and pole sleeves, groundsheet clip points, plus colour coded bedroom-hanging points thus reducing the assembly time by highlighting the correct place for each part. The poles are tough steel poles this provides a very rigid and durable structure that is easy and quick to assemble. The tent benefits from secondary mesh doors. This is a very fine mesh panel behind as entrance door that when used on its own allows light and air into the living space whilst keeping out unwanted insects. The groundsheet is sewn in and is fire retardant, durable polyethylene. The complete interior ofthe tent(the communal space & bedrooms) has the benefit of an integral, bathtub style groundsheetand secondary mesh doors, which will effectively keep this space free from insects and draughts. The main pegging points have been reinforced with several layers of fabric and strong bar tack stitching to provide maximum strength. The Titan 6 has one large main door plus a side door for flexible access. It also has draught guards around the living area for ventilation control and increased comfort.
