The VSS (Variable Sleep System) concept is elegant in its simplicity, why have a sleeping bag for each season or leg of a long trek ?
Instead, have sleeping bags that combine and fit inside each other. Use individual bags on their own or in combination, you can then adjust your sleeping system to suit the prevailing conditions. The result is a five season sleeping system rated down to -20C that packs down to a convenient size.
The complete system consists of:
> Three differently rated easy to identify colour coded bags
> Discrete black bivvi bag covers entire system for use without a tent.
> A compression sack to keep it all tidy.
